Business Writing Training: Write to Excite - Convey Your Passion with Business Writing Training

Are you a person who is very passionate about your business but you're challenged when you try to get that down on paper. When you talk about your business your passion gets others curious and interested. Something happens though to stifle that dynamic when it's time to do your business writing. You just freeze up.

Maybe you're afraid you won't "look good" because you're embarrassed about your written language skills. Perhaps you had a humiliating experience in learning written language as a youngster. For some reason, you have an eversion to writing and it translates into poor quality writing now (or at least writing that does not do justice to your business). Don't let that hold you back now. Many of the most brilliant business minds have the same issues with writing. Here's a few ideas to help you move past this issue.

1. Whatever it is that still troubles you, let it go. It was probably decades ago and it's likely that the perpetratir of your embarrassment is long gone. Don't keep yourself locked into less than you can have now because of the past. Let it go.

2. You may find that your best process would be to record yourself while you talk to someone about your business. Likely you have a strong ability to connect and excite others verbally. If you record yourself while you are "in your element" you'll record your best expressions. You can then go back and transcribe the recording and have some excellent material for the first draft of your business writing. You can have a friend call you on a free teleconference line that includes the ability to record.

3. Be willing and able to let go of your worries, anxieties and concerns about written language. When you tie your energy up in those kinds of self limitations, you completely block the flow. At first, what is most important is to do a "brain dump" of expressiveness.

Being picky and perfectionist about details at this point will do nothing but replicate your negative feelings about your ability to write. Worry about cleaning it up later. That's a different skill and not to be your concern at this stage.

4. There's nothing wrong with getting help to edit and clean up your writing. Find someone who is able to take the transcript of your brain dump and turn this into finished polished work - writing that sounds like the passionate person you are when you speak.

Getting this kind of help will give you total confidence about your written materials and you can relax about never having adequately learned the details of spelling, grammar and punctuation. That becomes someone else's job. Your job is what you do best. Convey your passion about your business, the people you help and especially the solutions you provide and how they benefit your clients.

5. Be willing to give up your procrastination about your business writing and give yourself the materials that generate revenue for you. This is a new day. You have some new tools and ideas, to try out.

It is a basic need of business to have written materials that do justice to your work. Not having them is costing you business growth and revenue - consistently. Sitting on the fence, indeed not even being willing to get on the fence is an expensive position to continue and not serving either you or those people who are suffering because they are looking for your solutions.
